Financial Donation

Consider donating to the Abrams Planetarium to help us in our  mission of educating people of all ages about the universe and the next generation of science communicators.

You can contribute by becoming a member. You can also donate directly to the planetarium through MSU's University Advancement.

We also have a donation bucket in our lobby if you ever have a few extra bucks to give.

All donations support the operation of the planetarium and help covers costs for new shows, accessibility programs, and supporting our students in professional development opportunities around science communication.

Volunteer your time

Another way you can support the planetarium is by donating your time. Volunteers primarily help us run activities for our outreach programs. Some volunteers have helps us create exhibits and displays or develop programs. If you are interested in volunteering, let us know what you are interested in doing and what skills you would like to share by emailing us at abrams@msu.edu.

All volunteers are required to have a background check completed and approved prior to volunteering.

Item Donation

Sometimes items have been donated to our collections or supply stashes. We cannot accept all items that people wish to donate and all donations are accepted on a case by case basis. Items that have been donated in the past range from art and craft supplies for our programs to display cases for our exhibits. If you have an item you want to consider donating, please email us abrams@msu.edu.
